Solutions for common issues

Payment not processing

  1. Check that your payment method is properly set up in the app
  2. Verify your payment provider account has sufficient funds

Family member invitation not received

  1. Check that the email or phone number is correct

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create a family group?

After signing up, you can create a family group from the Family tab. Add children to your family, then invite family members by email or phone number. Parents can manage the family group and approve member requests.

What is the recommendation system?

For security, aunts and uncles require recommendations from both parents or two in-laws before they can join a family group. This ensures only trusted family members can contribute to gifts.

How do I contribute to a gift?

Browse available gifts in the Gifts tab, select a gift you want to contribute to, choose your payment method, and enter the amount. Your contribution will be processed securely and the gift progress will update in real-time.

Can I cancel a contribution?

Contributions can be cancelled if the gift hasn't been sent yet. Contact the gift creator or use the cancel option in the gift details. Refunds are processed according to your payment provider's policies.

What happens when a gift reaches its target?

When a gift reaches its target amount, the gift status changes to "Funded". The gift creator (usually a parent) can then mark it as "Sent" once the gift has been purchased and given to the child.

Is my personal information secure?

Yes! Fam Gift uses industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All authentication is secure, payment information is processed through encrypted payment gateways, and we never store your full payment details.
