How does Fam Gift work?
Fam Gift allows family members to create gift pools for children. Parents can create gifts, set target amounts, and invite family members to contribute. Contributors can use multiple payment methods to add funds, and everyone can track progress in real-time.
What payment methods are supported?
Fam Gift supports PayPal (when PayPal credentials are configured), Apple Pay through Stripe (when a Stripe secret key is configured), and Zelle or Cash App as send-then-confirm contributions. Zelle and Cash App payments stay pending until a parent or gift creator confirms receipt. Live charges never auto-complete without processor verification.
How do I add family members?
Parents can invite family members to join their family group. Aunts and uncles require recommendations from both parents or two in-laws to ensure security. Once invited and approved, family members can contribute to gifts.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. PayPal and Apple Pay (Stripe) charges go through those processors. We never store full card numbers. Zelle and Cash App transfers happen in your banking apps; Fam Gift records a pending contribution until a family parent confirms the funds arrived.
Can I track multiple children and gifts?
Absolutely! You can add multiple children to your family and create multiple gifts for each child. Each gift has its own progress tracking, so you can see how close you are to reaching each gift's target amount.
