Getting Started

How do I add my first airline credit?

Tap the "+" button on the main screen, select your airline, enter the credit amount and expiration date, and save. You can also add notes for additional details.

Can I import credits from other apps?

Currently, Xtra Credit doesn't support direct import from other apps. However, you can manually add your credits, and we're working on import features for future updates.

Data and Sync

How does iCloud sync work?

When you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your credit data is securely stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across all your devices. Your data remains private and encrypted.

What happens if I delete the app?

If you have iCloud sync enabled, your data will be preserved in your iCloud account. If you reinstall the app and sign in with the same Apple ID, your data will be restored.

Notifications and Alerts

How do I set up expiration alerts?

Go to Settings → Notifications and choose your preferred alert timing (30, 60, or 90 days before expiration). You can also set custom alerts for specific credits.

I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

First, check that notifications are enabled in your device Settings → Notifications → Xtra Credit. Then verify that alerts are enabled in the app's Settings → Notifications.

Troubleshooting

App Issues

The app crashes when I try to add a credit

Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, restart your device. Make sure you're running the latest version of the app and iOS.

My data isn't syncing between devices

Ensure you're signed in to the same Apple ID on all devices and that iCloud is enabled. Check your internet connection and try toggling iCloud sync off and on in Settings.

Performance Issues

The app is running slowly

Try closing other apps to free up memory. If you have many credits, consider organizing them into categories. Restarting your device can also help improve performance.

I can't find a specific airline

You can add any airline manually by selecting "Other" and typing the airline name. We regularly update our airline database, so check for app updates.
