Gameplay Questions

How do I merge letters in LexiCombo?

Simply drag two identical lowercase letters together to create one uppercase letter. For example, dragging two 'a' letters together creates one 'A'. You need uppercase letters to spell words in the word formation area.

What's the difference between the word categories?

Each category has different word lengths and difficulty levels: Easy (3-4 letters), Medium (5-7 letters), Hard (8-12 letters), plus specialized categories for Science, Technology, Literature, and General vocabulary. Each category has different scoring multipliers.

How does the scoring system work?

Points are awarded based on word length, difficulty category, and completion speed. Harder categories have higher multipliers (1.3x to 1.5x), and you get bonus points for faster completion. Your high scores are tracked separately for each category.

Can I change the game timer duration?

Yes! You can adjust the game timer in the Settings menu. The default is 5 minutes, but you can customize it to your preference. You can also disable the timer entirely for unlimited play time.

Does LexiCombo require an internet connection?

No! LexiCombo is completely offline. All your progress, statistics, and achievements are saved locally on your device using CoreData. You can play anywhere, anytime without needing an internet connection.

What iOS version do I need?

LexiCombo requires iOS 18.6 or later. This ensures you have access to the latest SwiftUI features and CoreData improvements that make the game run smoothly.

How do I reset my statistics?

You can reset your statistics in the Settings menu. This will clear all your high scores, game history, and achievements. This action cannot be undone, so make sure you want to start fresh before confirming.

Can I customize the audio and haptic feedback?

Yes! In the Settings menu, you can enable or disable sound effects, haptic feedback, and adjust the volume. You have full control over the audio and tactile feedback to customize your gaming experience.

Is my data private and secure?

Absolutely! LexiCombo is designed with privacy in mind. All your data stays on your device and is never transmitted or shared. We don't collect any personal information or track your usage.

Can I transfer my progress to a new device?

Currently, LexiCombo saves data locally on your device. If you get a new iPhone or iPad, you'll need to start fresh. We're considering cloud sync features for future updates.

What happens if I delete and reinstall the app?

If you delete and reinstall LexiCombo, all your progress, statistics, and achievements will be lost. Make sure to back up your device or consider this before reinstalling.

Does LexiCombo collect any analytics or usage data?

No, LexiCombo does not collect any analytics, usage data, or personal information. The app is completely privacy-focused and all data remains on your device.
